Thanksgiving lunch was ono but it was the desserts that was a hit! To accompany my Chocolate Haupia Cake, I made Chocolate Macadamia Nut Ice Cream in addition to Homemade Coconut Ice Cream (see recipe).
This is a super creamy, super chocolatey recipe! Enjoy Chocolate lovers!
Ingredients:
1 cup Milk
5 Tablespoons Cocoa
1 (14oz) can of Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 Cup Heavy Cream
4-5 Tablespoons Macadamia Nut, crushed
Equipment:
Blender
Ice Cream Maker
Spatula
Instructions:
Dissolve cocoa in warm milk.
Crush Macadamia Nuts (in plastic ziploc bag) using a kitchen mallet. Don't over crush, you want some bite-sized nuts, not powder.
In a blender, combine the Sweetened Condensed Milk and Heavy Cream and mix thoroughly.
Add Milk and Cocoa mixture and mix thoroughly.
Pour into container of ice cream maker, then add crushed macadamia nuts and freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
When ice cream is done, using a rubber spatula, transfer ice cream into a container.
Set overnight in freezer for complete ripening process.
Enjoy!
