Enjoy Karen's blog about dining in Hawaii! I love those crepes, they so ono looking. My husband and I didn't get a chance to visit any Farmer's Markets on our visit this past holiday so I hope to get to one on my next visit this summer. :)

Hawaii's Climbing Access
Happy Aloha Friday everyone! I just wanted to say a big MAHALO to everyone that signed the petition to pass the SB1168 in Hawaii - Limited liability for mountain climbing, rock climbing, rappelling and bouldering on government land. I got notices of those who signed the petition and left wonderful words of support! An update on the bills; both the SB1168 and SB1007 have passed the Senate and is heading to the House! Here's a blog entry written by Mike Bishop to the Access Fund Blog.

More signatures may still be needed to help the bills through the House....but I wanted to know for all you Hawaii residents, how does it feel to have your taxes paid to/for settlements awarded for injuries and deaths to visiting hikers? Folks who visit Hawaii should be warned that Hawaii's beauty can be deceiving and can cost you your life if not careful. But the law in Hawaii is such that hikers don't have to be responsible for their own safety, that if they are injured or killed, the state is liable. What are your thoughts on this?
